Abu Dhabi
(the island of dears)
got the name because of the dears that once were there
IŽve been so lucky to have been able to spend five years of my childhood
in Abu Dhabi, from 1980 - 1985. My first English words were " Can I have a Coke
please ". I have spent five years there because of my dads job. Dad, Nordal
Magne,worked then for BJ Hughes as a district manager for Abu Dhabi. In abu
Dhabi I went to an international school called AL Khubairat Community School,
the lessons were in English and Arabian.
Some weekends we took a trip to
Dubai, the highlite on that long trip was to count camels, road signs and
last but not least
Dubai World Trade Center.
Abu Dhabi has been through a tramendes devolpment since 1960 og up to day, below
